On Thursday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the start of the online application window for JEE (Main) 2024 and released the syllabus.

In the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE (Main), there are two papers. The first paper, the B.E./B.Tech. admission test, is administered to students wishing to enroll in undergraduate engineering programs at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), universities, and other institutions funded or acknowledged by state governments that participate in the program. A JEE (Advanced) eligibility test is also administered in order to determine admission to IITs. The country’s B. Arch and B. Planning programs require passing Paper 2.

The JEE (Main) – 2024 will take place in two sessions, namely Session 1 (January 2024) and Session 2 (April 2024), for the Academic Session 2024–2025. Below are the specifics for the first session (January 2024):

Online Submission of Application Form 01 November 2023 to 30 November 2023 (up to 09:00 P.M.) 

Last date of successful transaction of fee through Credit/Debit Card/Net-Banking/UPI 30 November 2023 (up to 11:50 P.M.)

 Announcement of the City of Examination By the Second week of January 2024 Downloading Admit Cards from the NTA website 03 days before the actual date of the Examination Date(s) of Examination Between 24 January and 01 February 2024 Centre, Date, and Shift As indicated on the Admit Card 

Display of Recorded Responses and Answer Keys To be announced later on the website Website(s) www.nta.ac.in, https://jeemain.nta.ac.in/

English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu are the thirteen languages in which JEE (Main) – 2024 will be held.

Candidates may choose to apply for one session or both (2024) sessions, paying the exam fee in accordance with their selection. Stated differently, candidates who wish to apply for only Session 1 must pay the Examination Fee for Session 1 only during the current application period. They will then have the opportunity to reapply for Session 2 (April 2024), when the application window for Session 2 will be reopened in accordance with the information provided.

Important Guidelines:
i. Candidates may only apply online via the following website: https://jeemain.nta.ac.in/ for JEE (Main) – 2024. Any other format for the application form will not be accepted.

ii. A candidate may only submit one application. Candidates will not be permitted to fill out more than one application form under any circumstances. If such candidates fill out multiple application forms, strict action will be taken against them, even in the future.

iii. Candidates need to pay close attention to the guidelines provided in the NTA website and Information Bulletin.

Applicants who do not follow the guidelines will be immediately eliminated from consideration.

iv. Applicants must make sure that the mobile number and email address they entered in the online application
